Challenge

The Black Pig had an exceptional product and growing reputation on social media, but its brand didn’t fully match the quality of the food. In amongst the buzz of Borough Market, where dozens of stalls compete for attention, they needed a brand that stood-out and provided the infrastructure for future growth.

Solution

Working closely with the leadership team, we created a cohesive brand built around The Black Pig’s bold, artisan personality. This included a refreshed stall design, signage and packaging that made the offer clear and irresistible in a crowded environment. Supporting assets including merchandise and social content templates ensured consistency across every touchpoint, from a customer’s first glance at the stall to the Instagram post they shared after eating.

Future products and formats

As part of the rebrand, we also built flexibility into the system to support future growth — from new product lines to retail spaces. The identity was designed to stretch naturally from street food stall to shelf and storefront, maintaining the same bold energy and recognisable visual language across every format.

Beyond the stall

We created packaging and merchandise that carried The Black Pig’s bold character into customers’ hands and daily lives. From practical sandwich wraps and takeaway bags to simple, functional uniforms, each item reinforced the brand in use, making the team instantly recognisable in the bustle of Borough Market and giving customers something tangible to share beyond the meal itself.

Outcome

What started with 1500 covers a day at Borough Market soon became the catalyst for bigger moves — acquiring a new London site and opening a second location in South London as the brand’s following continues to grow.

Testimonial

When we came to Dan we were really struggling with our brand identity and it was starting to hold us back. Dan was great to work with. He took the time to properly understand us, and the business and helped us clarify who we are and what we stand for. The level of detail and creativity that went into his work was outstanding, not only do we now have logos, messaging and artwork that perfectly represent us and our product but we also have the clarity of who we are and what we do to enable us to move forward with purpose.
